Rice imported from Egypt was contaminated with a chlorophenol compound that tainted a well-known brand of breakfast cereals resulting in product withdrawals throughout Europe. My report considered whether the companies involved had taken sufficient precautions to prevent or control the incident.

An annual retainer was agreed with a water dispenser company to answer ad hoc production and distribution problems, audit their suppliers and train the staff.
Product Withdrawal
Client: Bottled mineral water producer

A bottled mineral water producer had withdrawn the product because of microbiological contamination of the source. Following an emergency call-out, I assisted in the crisis management through liaison with the enforcement authorities, insurance companies and loss adjustors, the investigation of the cause of the problem, the remediation programme and the re-launch of the product.
